Citizen's Police Academy

Our Goal 

The primary goal of the Citizens' Police Academy is to afford an opportunity for the community to become informed about the many aspects of police work. The Academy is designed to give the attendees exposure as to the reasons why police respond to various situations in a particular way and how they ultimately handle that situation.

Our Academy will give attendees the opportunity to see the benefits of public service and learn about the challenges and demands associated with law enforcement.

What We Will Cover 

The Citizens' Academy is a 9 session, (8 week) program with evening classes from 6:00-9:00PM on Tuesdays.

Patrol carPatrol Operations and Procedures

PrHandcuffsobable Cause/Arrest Procedures

FirearmUse of Force/Shooting Policy

JailTraffic Laws and Enforcement

DWI Laws and Enforcement

ScalesAccident Investigation

How to Apply 

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and will be subject to a background check.
